Everything to know about Mimicr AI

A short overview of Mimicr AI from the team who built it. A couple of tips on how to make the most out of it, too.

Published on May 2025

Mimicr AI is the first and actually working AI that writes as you. It’s not magic, though some users believe it to be.

What is Mimicr AI?

Imagine an AI that writes exactly like you— capturing your tone, slang, humor, or even your quirky grammar habits. Whether you’re a content writer, a SaaS founder, or someone who just wants to save time on emails and other stuff, Mimicr AI is built for people who want a human-sounding AI chatbot.

How Does Mimicr AI Work?

Using Mimicr AI is as easy as 1-2-3. Here’s a step-by-step look at how it will work out:

Step 1: Share a Sample of Your Writing

To get started, you paste a sample of your writing into Mimicr AI’s web platform. This could be:

  • A blog post or an article (recommended if you’ll use Mimicr AI for the same)

  • Some emails.

  • A text, about anything as long as it’s written by you.

The sample should be more than 450 words (for the best results). For example, if you write casually with lots of “lol” and “yep,” like, “Hey, I’m super pumped about this new thing, lol, it’s gonna be epic,” Mimicr AI will notice your chill vibe and playful tone.

The bad thing is, you can only share this sample once. After the initial set-up, you can’t change the tone of Mimicr AI as it’s all locked in. We’re aware of this issue, and we’re working our back off to help you do this.

Step 2: Tell It What You Want

Next, you type what you want Mimicr AI to write. This is called a “prompt.” For instance:

  • “Write a tweet about my new coffee shop.”

  • “Draft an email inviting my friend to a party.”

  • “Create a bio for my Etsy store.”

You don’t need to be fancy— just say what you need, and Mimicr AI will do the rest.

Step 3: Get Text That Sounds Like You

Mimicr AI takes your sample and prompt, then generates text that matches your style. In seconds, you’ll see a response that feels like you wrote it. For example, if your sample is casual and fun, a prompt like “Write a tweet about my new coffee shop” might produce:

  • “Yo, just opened my coffee shop and it’s LIT ☕! Swing by for some epic lattes, you won’t be sorry lol #CoffeeVibes”

If your style is more formal, like “I am delighted to share my latest endeavor,” the same prompt might yield:

  • “I’m pleased to announce the opening of my new coffee shop. Join us for exceptional brews and a warm atmosphere. #CoffeeLovers”

And that’s it. You don’t have to yell at Mimicr AI like “write in my style!” or “be human!”

Behind the scenes

This article is not intended for developers, so we won’t be talking about the neural networks behind the AI, but here’s a sneak peek for everyone:

  • It uses smart AI to analyze your writing, picking up on things like tone (happy, serious), word choice (slang, formal), and sentence length (short, long).

  • It learns from examples to make sure the output feels natural.

  • It runs entirely online, so you don’t need to download anything or have a fancy computer.

And here comes another bad thing: it’s not on available for mobile yet. We’re working on it to bring it to mobile soon, too.

Why Mimicr is different

You probably had this thought the moment you came across Mimicr AI— is this any different from ChatGPT or Claude? The answer is “Yes”, in both good ways and bad ways.

The Good Difference

  • It sounds a lot human than other AI chatbots.

  • It sounds like you and only you, creating unique outputs for everyone.

  • Affordable as it could ever be. I mean, $5 for a month? What else could you ask for?

  • Your data is never used or sold for ANY purpose, including training or whatever.

The Bad Difference

  • It’s not as smart as ChatGPT or other AI chatbots (we didn’t have millions to build a smarter model).

Therefore, we recommend that you use Mimicr AI only as a writing assistant, not your everyday smart AI chatbot.

Tips for the Best Results

If you know a bit about AI, you will also know that in a product like Mimicr AI, we can’t guarantee a certain quality of the outputs, as it all depends on the sample you share with it in the setup.

What we can do is to give you the best tips to make sure Mimicr AI writes JUST like you, a human.

  • Use a Good Sample: Pick a piece of writing that really shows your style— casual, formal, funny, whatever. The more “you” it is, the better.

  • Be Clear with Prompts: Say exactly what you want, like “Write a short, sassy Instagram caption” instead of just “Write something.”

  • Keep It Short: Outputs are best at 50-200 words, so ask for concise text if you want quick results

  • Check the Output: If it’s not quite right, tweak the prompt or try a different sample. Mimicr AI learns from your feedback.

And that’s all for this article. We’ll be back with another article (we don't have a newsletter yet, so you can keep refreshing our blog).
